The Public Safety Bond, Proposition A, is an investment in the basics of public safety – a modernized fire station, a weatherproofed 911 center, critical crime labs, evidence storage, and training centers that will deliver 21st Century training for police.

The public safety bond will help replace buildings that are old and outdated without raising taxes. With the support of Dallas voters, our city will gain a generational investment that will make our city safer and our communities stronger.

The ballot is required by state law to say "this is a tax increase" but it isn't. Because Dallas has managed its debt responsibly, Proposition A will not raise the tax rate – and in fact, the city is on track to lower the tax in 2027 for the 11th consecutive year.
