Part of the mission of the Chamber is to represent its members with issues involving federal, state, and local legislation and to provide useful information on the local economy. To accomplish this mission, the Legislative and Economic Growth Committee monitors business legislation and recommends positions to the Chamber and its Board of Directors. This committee also hosts forums to disseminate information to the members regarding political candidates and initiatives, as well as economic growth opportunities. These events, called Economic Insights & Legislative Leaders, are held the last Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m., except in certain months like June and December (see calendar for latest).
