During the one-hour Dementia Friend session\, participants learn: \n- Five Key Messages from people with dementia - Best practices for communication - The differences between healthy aging and the signs and symptoms of dementia \nEach new Dementia Friend is encouraged to turn their learning into purposeful action. It is up to all of us to help reduce the stigma of dementia through education and support. Dementia Friend Sessions are available: \nThe 1st Monday of every month\, 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Juliette Fowler Communities\, Pearl Nordan Care Center\, 1260 Abrams Road\, Dallas\, 75214.
